17augalldayFeaturedLytham 1940s Wartime WeekendCelebrating its tenth year in 2019!

Event Details

Join us for a spectacular and very popular event as we remember the wartime era in Lytham. Over the weekend, there’s battle re enactments, live singing and dancing, static vehicles and aircraft, vehicle parade, military charities and so much more. Forty thousand people enjoy this wartime spectacle, including World War Two Veterans who are of course we are extremely honoured to welcome.

Singers – Lilli de Carlo, Lancashire Belle, Colin Bourdiec as George Formby, Derek Herbert as Winston Churchill, Paula Marie, The Bluebird Belles (Sunday only – pictured), Re invintaged Fashion Show (Saturday only). Plus if you have two left feet there’s a learn to dance slot with Anthony and Steph. Saturday evening in the main marquee will host the Kalamazoo Dance Band (tickets £15pp) supported by forties DJ Bazooka Joe.

The main events take place on Lytham Green and the shops in the centre of Lytham get into the wartime spirit too by dressing up with bunting, sandbags and more. The event is FREE. Parking on Lytham Green is available for just £5 per car per day. Dressing in the 1940s period is very much encouraged (although we do ask you be respectful and not dress in the more extreme elements of the Nazi regime or wear anything that is likely to offend).

There will be vintage stalls for your 1940s clothing and knick knacks, plus food and drink. Also planned is some entertainment including Punch and Judy and some old fashion fairground rides.

We look forward to welcoming you.
