Lytham is a traditional coastal town which is truly one of the gems of the North West. With its Promenade and Green, spectacular gardens, stylish restaurants, and a unique collection of speciality outlets and boutique shops, Lytham really has something on offer all year round.
Lytham’s landmark historic windmill, located on the Green is just a glimpse of the town’s heritage, which lies within Lytham. This signature building now holds a wonderfully illustrated exhibition of the town’s history as well as being home to a tourist information desk (seasonal).
Built between 1752 and 1764, ‘the finest Georgian house in Lancashire’ – the Grade One Lytham Hall can be found a short distance from the town centre. There’s seventy eight acres of mature grounds surrounding the Hall, a busy events calendar and also a very popular tea room.
The 450 seat Lowther Pavilion regularly hosts shows, plays, comedy, cinema and musicals throughout the year. Take some time to explore the mature Lowther Gardens – perfect for a relaxing stroll, coffee, ice cream, bowling, crazy golf or to just watch the world go by.
In the summer, the Lytham Festival takes place on the Green and various venues throughout the town and has in recent years welcomed headliners such as Bryan Adams, Olly Murs, Status Quo, Tom Jones, Noel Gallagher and Madness. In 2018, the Lytham Festival will welcome Nile Rogers and his band Chic, Soul II Soul, Bananarama, Steps, the Vengaboys, DJ Pat Sharp, George Ezra, Emili Sande, Pete Tong, Il Divo and many more.
