Nile Rodgers and Chic, Lewis Capaldi, Duran Duran, Snow Patrol, Diana Ross, Paul Weller, Tears for Fears and the Strokes will headline Lytham Festival 2022.
Lytham Festival will take place in the Main Proms Arena on Lytham Green from Tuesday 28 June to Sunday 10 July.
Motown legend Diana Ross will kick off the 2022 festival on Tuesday 28th June. The American singer and actress rose to fame as the lead singer of The Supremes, who became Motown’s most successful act during the 1960s and one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time. A hugely successful solo career followed and has seen Ross win countless major awards including a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe, a Tony and several American Music Awards.
Wednesday 29 June will see rapidly rising international star Lewis Capaldi headline the Main Proms Arena. It’s been a meteoric rise for the Scottish singer-songwriter. This year alone has seen his number one single Someone You Loved nominated at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and it then won the 2020 Brit Award of the same title. Earlier this year his single Hold Me While You Wait was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and Capaldi also won the 2020 Brit Award for Best New Artist.
Indie rockers Snow Patrol are the Thursday night headliners. With a 25-year career they have racked up an impressive number of accolades including more than 17 million global album sales and an Ivor Novello award. Their 2006 monster hit single Chasing Cars went on to become UK radio’s most played song of the 21st Century.
Friday 1 July will see a headlining set from British music icons Duran Duran. Since first storming onto the pop scene in 1981 Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records, had 18 American hit singles, 21 UK Top 20 tunes and have continued to perform to huge concert audiences around the world. Consistently fusing art, technology, fashion and a signature sense of style with their unique and infectious brand of music, singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor have proven themselves timeless.
Lionel Richie’s Lytham show will now be replaced by Nile Rodgers & CHIC who sold out the 20,000 capacity event back in 2018. They will be joined by Grammy Award winning special guests Soul II Soul, US girl group TLC and Craig Charles will kick off the night with his funk and soul DJ set. Customers who have already purchased tickets for July 2nd will be contacted by their ticket providers with full details. Their tickets will automatically be valid for Nile Rodgers & CHIC.
One of the most influential bands of the 21st century, The Strokes Lytham Festival performance on Friday July 8 will be an exclusive North of England show. From the moment they released their critically acclaimed debut album Is This It in 2001 The Strokes were destined for huge international success and have gone on to earn a string of awards including a Grammy earlier this year for their most recent album The New Abnormal. And to make this one huge rock night to remember, The Strokes will be supported by Irish post punk band Fontaines DC.
The following night, Saturday July 9, will see timeless favourites Tears For Fears headline. The Brit Award winners have garnered international success and toured throughout the world delighting audiences with their iconic hits including Mad World, Shout, Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Head Over Heels. Critically acclaimed hitmaking singer-songwriter Alison Moyet is special guest, while Australian pop star Natalie Imbruglia will open the show.
British music icon Paul Weller will headline the final night of Lytham Festival 2022. As frontman of The Jam, the man behind The Style Council and a hugely successful solo artist, Weller is without doubt one of the UK’s most prolific and well-respected music artists. And he is now heading to Lytham Festival on Sunday 10th July where he will be joined by indie legends The Charlatans, indie pop band Lottery Winners and rising Welsh soul singer Nia Wyn.

Event Details
International singing sensation and Lancashire’s most famous tenor Alfie Boe is to headline a special Last Night of The Proms concert in Lytham.
Taking place in the grounds of historic Lytham Hall on Sunday August 28, the exclusive show will see Fleetwood-born Alfie perform alongside a full orchestra while the concert will be opened by special guest and fellow Broadway and West End star John Owen-Jones.
Last Night of The Proms is presented by Lytham Festival directors Cuffe & Taylor and follows the success of their WonderHall festival last summer which saw £153,000 donated to the continued restoration of Lytham Hall from the Russell Watson Proms concert. All money raised from Alfie’s spectacular will also be gifted to the Grade 1 listed venue.
Lytham Festival Presents Last Night of The Proms will be the first time Alfie has performed on the Lancashire coast since his sell-out Homecoming show at Fleetwood Town FC in 2018.
Speaking about his return, Alfie said: “I cannot wait to get back to perform on homeground. As a proud Lancastrian it will be very special for me and to stand in front of an audience which I am sure will have many familiar faces is just the icing on the cake.
“This will be a brilliant night in a magical setting and I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
Alfie’s unmistakable voice has cemented him as Britain’s biggest selling and best loved vocalist of his generation.
A hugely successful recording artist, he has achieved two Number 1 albums and amassed multi-million, multi-platinum record sales. Alfie has conquered the world’s greatest stages and arenas from leading the cast of Les Misérables as Valjean in both the West End and Broadway, the 25th Anniversary Concert and most recently the London Staged Concert, to taking the lead role of Jimmy in The Who’s Classic Quadrophenia, while also wowing audiences in theatre performances including La Bohème, Finding Neverland and Carousel.
Alfie will be joined on the evening by special guest and fellow tenor John Owen-Jones. John too is famous for his portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables in the West End and on Broadway – and still holds claim to being the youngest actor in history to have played the role. He has also played the title role in The Phantom of The Opera more than any other actor in the show’s West End history.
Peter Taylor said: “We have had the pleasure of working with Alfie on numerous concerts and tours over the years so we are delighted to have secured him for our 2022 Last Night of the Proms at Lytham Hall.
“He is beloved globally but the people of Lancashire and particularly our coastal towns feel a natural closeness to their locally born star.
“It is also exciting to have John Owen-Jones on the bill too. John is a wonderful talent and to have both Alfie and John performing on the same stage on the same evening will make this special for everyone.
