The Little Mermaid Jr
RDATS brings the magical story of Ariel to life this summer at Lowther Pavilion with spectacular effects, dancing and costumes. The Little Mermaid Jr. is a stage musical based on the animated 1989 Disney film about a mermaid who dreams of the world above the sea and gives up her voice to find love.

A To Z Of Kidz 4 Kidz

Kidz 4 Kidz community theatre company was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit group. Run completely by volunteers, Kidz 4 Kidz has offered weekly rehearsals to children aged 4 to 18 for the past 22 years. Ticket sale profit from their shows goes to helping other children in need – hence the group’s name ‘Kidz’ doing something positive to help other ‘Kidz’


A Midsummer Night’s Dream & Twelfth Night

Four Forty Theatre are back with a British Summertime Shakespeare Double Bill! Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, both performed in one night by only four actors in forty (ish!) minutes each! Experience the hilarity of two of the Bard’s best comedies condensed into short, side-splitting shows. In a mere 40 minutes each, they distill the essence of Shakespeare’s masterpieces into uproarious performances.

On Monday 15th July at 6.30pm, we’re hosting a special fundraising evening for our donors. Here, we’ll talk more about where we’re up to with our ambitious redevelopment campaign, including construction our new 150-seat Education Centre & Studio Theatre.

He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school’s head cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War.

A Murder Is Announced

Fylde Coast Players are proud to present ‘ A Murder is Announced’ by Agatha Christie adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon.


An extraordinary announcement in the local paper states that a murder will take place at a specific time in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is unexpected and unknown – what follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, and a determined inspector following the twists and turns of the plot.

Join us for this opportunity to make your very own electric Cigar Box Guitar. This workshop, facilitated by Blues guitar maestro Howlin’ Mat introduces you to the Cigar Box Cigar and guides you through making your very own. No experience needed.


Lowther Cinema: The Nettle Dress (12A)

Showing as part of our Folk, Roots & Maritime Festival and to celebrate World Conservation Day. Post film talk by Fylde Eco Group members and demonstration of making nettle cord. Free Nettle Tea to all ticket holders (while stocks last).
Textile artist Allan Brown spends seven years making a dress by hand, using only the fibre of locally foraged stinging nettles. This is ‘hedgerow couture’, the greenest of slow fashion and also his medicine. It’s how he survives the death of his wife Alex, which leaves him and their four children bereft, and how he finds a beautiful way to honour her.

Lowther’s Film School (Ages 8 – 16)

Whether you’d like to work behind the camera or in front of it, this weeklong workshop will give you the opportunity to work with professional Filmmaker and UCLan Lecturer, Ed Greenberg.
Designed for ages 8 – 16, you will work and develop your own unscripted or scripted films while learning vital screen-acting and film-making techniques. At the end of the rehearsal period you will be able to film under the supervision of a professional director and actor trainers.

Summer Outdoor Theatre: Pinocchio

This show from “The Storytellers Theatre Company” is bright, colourful and full to the brim with toe tapping action. The hour long performance is sure to captivate all who listen and watch. Our production introduces Pinocchio as a lump of wood, and with his transformation into a walking talking puppet, takes us from Geppetto’s wood shed, on through the wooden boys many adventures.

There’s a box social coming up, and Curly (Gordon MacRae) asks Laurey (Shirley Jones) if she’ll be his date. Trouble is, Laurey thinks he’s waited too long, and in a fit of pique accepts an offer from the boorish Jud (Rod Steiger) instead. Meanwhile, Laurey’s friend Ado Annie (Gloria Grahame) is also torn between two men: a cowboy named Will (Gene Nelson) and a foreign peddler, Ali Hakim (Eddie Albert). Both women struggle to know their own hearts before it’s too late.
