Walking in and around Fylde
There’s a good range of walks around the area, whether through towns such as Lytham, Kirkham or St Annes on Sea, along the Promenade with its fabulous views across the Ribble estuary towards Southport, Formby Point and on a clear day over to the mountains of North Wales. There’s rural walks exploring some of the great countryside in and around Fylde and neighbouring Wyre. If you want walks from the South Fylde Line, check out Steve Garrill’s fantastic book (available from Book Bean and Ice Cream in Kirkham). During the summer months there are also guided walks taking place with the fantastic Fylde Ranger team – see the What’s On page for details.
