January can feel a little bleak so why not join us and the Friends of Fairhaven Lake on a gentle 1 mile guided local walk. Hear all about the iconic buildings and the activities around Fairhaven in years gone by. Enjoy a drink and chat afterwards in the Watersport Building where you can meet the Friends of Fairhaven Lake and hear all about Fairhaven events and activities past and present. It’s a great way to connect with nature and to meet some new faces. So, if you fancy joining us for a wander and a chat, we’d love to see you! Please dress accordingly for the weather. Under U16 must be accompanied by an adult, route is accessible for all. No Booking is required.

The Fylde Ice Festival is back! After its visit to Lytham in Lytham in 2023 and Kirkham in 2024, this daylong event will return to Fylde once again and this time take place in the centre of St Annes in 2025. Come and have a go on the ice carving wall, see a number of pre carved ice sculptures with themes linked to St Annes, plus watch a live carving demonstration take place in front of your very eyes with Ice experts GLACIAL ART ICE SCULPTORS

Brought to you by the Supporters of Ashton Gardens (SOAG) with support from St. Anne’s Town Council, this long-established series of concerts returns with a blast.

The concerts are FREE for all to attend with the gardens open to members of the public.

They will start each of the Sunday’s performances at 2pm.

SOAG is a not-for-profit membership organisation, which exists to protect, preserve, and enhance Ashton Gardens, St Annes.

The Town Council provides SOAG with an annual grant to support the events.

Join us at Fairhaven Lake in celebration / commemoration of the 80 years of peace that so many members of our local communities fought for so many years ago. It is a celebration of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day which marked the end of the war in Europe and WWII as a whole on 8th May 1945.

The beacon will be lit at 9:30pm and a schedule of entertainment including the Bluebirds UK and ‘The Churchills’ will take place before the lighting. Specific timings and details to be announced…

Come along and celebrate Warton 5th Carnival Day 2025!!! the parade will wind through the village and finish at Bridges Playing fields for a full fun packed day for the local community consisting of a parade, funfair, craft stalls, children’s sporting activities and evening entertainment.

Singleton’s annual community gala day with parade, crowing of the Rose Queen, village games, entertainment and bar. Plenty for all the family. The main event takes place in the field behind Singleton Village Hall.

Kings of Leon are joining the line-up for TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival 2025.

The GRAMMY award-winning, multi-platinum alternative rock band will headline the North West’s largest live music festival on Wednesday July 2. Since their debut in 2003, Kings of Leon – brothers Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums) and Jared Followill (bass), and their cousin Matthew Followill (guitar) – have released nine studio albums selling more than 20 million copies, and almost 40 million singles worldwide.

In the UK alone, the multi-platinum selling band has reached the Top 10 with all their albums including six that hit the Number One spot.

In addition, they have had eight GRAMMY Nominations, three GRAMMY Award wins, three NME Awards, two BRIT Awards, and one Juno Award. They have toured all over the world headlining the biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Reading & Leeds on three occasions and multiple Lollapalooza’s.

This year has seen the band complete a world tour which included a huge show at London’s BST in Hyde Park – an unprecedented record breaking fifth time they have played the iconic location – as well as release their ninth full-length studio album, Can We Please Have Fun.

The multi-award-winning global pop and rock icons are the first headliners to be announced as the North West’s largest live music festival prepares to return for five memorable nights.

Details of the remaining headliner and special guests will be revealed soon.

TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival 2025 takes place from Wednesday July 2 to Sunday July 6.

Headlining Wednesday 2 July will be Kings of Leon, Friday July 4 will be Canadian/American singer, songwriter and musician Alanis Morissette, Saturday July 5 will see Lytham welcome global superstar Justin Timberlake and Sunday July 6 will be a double headlining bill for rock icons Simple Minds and Texas.

Simple Minds

Seven-time GRAMMY Award winning singer, songwriter and musician Alanis Morissette will headline Lytham Festival on Friday July 4.

For 30 years Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential women in contemporary music with her deeply expressive music and performances earning vast critical praise. Morissette’s 1995 debut album Jagged Little Pill was followed by nine more eclectic and acclaimed albums and her music and most notable hits Ironic, You Oughta Know, Hand in My Pocket and Thank U remain as current today.

In 2019, Jagged Little Pill the musical made its Broadway debut and was nominated for 15 Tony Awards, winning two at the 2021 ceremony, and away from music Alanis has also acted on the big and small screen.

In 2021, Alanis’ sold-out world tour celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill was the number one female-fronted tour of the year selling more than 500,000 tickets, and most recently she’s been touring the US with The Triple Moon Tour.

Saturday July 5 will see multi-talented entertainer, recording artist, record producer, songwriter and actor Justin Timberlake bring his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour to Lytham Green.

Throughout his career he’s sold more than 54 million albums and 63 million singles globally, with a further 70 million records as the lead vocalist of *NSYNC. Justin has won 10 GRAMMY Awards across the pop, dance and R&B genres, four EMMY Awards and was nominated for an Oscar in 2017 for hit record Can’t Stop the Feeling. Earlier this year, Timberlake released his sixth studio album Everything I Thought It Was, featuring 18 brand new tracks including hit singles Selfish and No Angels.

His monumental world tour has marked Justin’s return to the global stage after five years and his Lytham date will be one of only four UK outdoor shows in 2025.

The closing night of Lytham Festival on Sunday July 6 will see a double headlining set from global rock icons and Scottish legends Simple Minds and Texas.

One of the most successful bands to ever come from the UK, Simple Minds have sold more than 60 million records worldwide and enjoyed number one singles on both sides of the Atlantic.

Demand to see them perform such iconic hits as Promised You a Miracle, Glittering Prize, Someone Somewhere in Summertime, Waterfront, Alive and Kicking, Sanctify Yourself and Don’t You Forget About Me has grown year on year, with the band consistently acclaimed as one of the best live acts of their generation.

The band’s 2015 album Big Music was described by MOJO magazine as “their best album in 30 years”, and 2018’s Walk Between Worlds saw Simple Minds play their largest US tour to date while 2022’s Direction Of The Heart gave the band another Top Five album in the UK.

Over the past 10 years Simple Minds – Jim Kerr (vocals), Charlie Burchill (guitars, keyboards), Gordy Goudie (acoustic guitar), Ged Grimes (bass), Cherisse Osei (drums), Sarah Brown (vocals) and new addition to the band Erik Ljunggren (keys) – has rekindled the magic that made them a vital artistic force in their early days.

In a double headlining bill, joining Simple Minds on the final night of the 2025 festival will be fellow Glaswegians and chart-topping rock band Texas.

It is now 35 years since Texas stormed onto the music scene with debut hit I Don’t Want A Lover, and in a brilliant four-decade career the Ivor Novello winning band have sold more than 40 million records worldwide.

They have released 10 studio albums, five compilation albums and 45 singles. Most recent album – the 2023 release The Very Best Of 1989 – 2023 – proved a huge hit making the top 10 in the UK Albums Chart and included two new tracks Keep On Talking and After All sitting alongside the band’s incredible catalogue.

Known for their compelling live sound Texas, led by vocalist Sharleen Spiteri and co-founders Johnny McElhone and Ally McErlaine, remain one of the most successful Scottish bands, and their music continues to resonate with fans worldwide with newer songs sitting brilliantly alongside the band’s massive hits that include I Don’t Want A Lover, Say What You Want, Halo, Summer Sun, Getaway and Black Eyed Boy.

Colour Run sees participants run, jog or walk a 3km route along Starr Gate Beach. Along the way they’ll pass through SEVEN coloured paint stations, getting covered head to toe in bright powdered paint! On crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a bespoke Blackpool Colour Run medal.

All ages are welcome to take part in Blackpool Colour Run.

Join the Kalamazoo Dance Band for a great evening of music in the forties marquee on Lytham Green on the Saturday night at the 2025 Lytham 1940s Weekend. This will be the Kalamazoo Dance Band’s fifth visit to the popular Lytham 1940s Weekend and as one of the UK’s most popular swing bands on the circuit offering the very best of the forties era, you’re in for a great night. The band will perform three sets during the evening.

Please note we won’t be issuing physical tickets but we will email you prior to the event to confirm and we will welcome you on the door on the night. You will get a ticket confirmation as part of the booking process. Please also note that as this event takes place in a marquee on Lytham Green, we will have portable toilets adjacent, plus a licensed bar, but do wrap up warm!

2026 will be the sixth time that Royal Lytham has hosted the Championship, with some of the biggest names in women’s golf having won their titles across the famed layout, including Georgia Hall (2018), Catriona Matthew (2009), Annika Sorenstam (2003) and Sherri Steinhauer, whose 2006 win was the last of her three titles.

The Captain of Royal Lytham & St Annes, Dr Mike Wilson, and the Lady Captain, Mrs Michele Hall, said: “We are delighted that this prestigious and exciting Championship is again returning to our historic links. The remarkable win by Georgia Hall in 2018 is still fresh in our minds and we look forward to hosting another outstanding Championship in 2026.”
