Known locally as The White Church, the story of the White Church begins at a meeting of the congregation of Lytham Congregational Church in 1899 with the suggestion that there should be a new church in Fairhaven on the estuary of the Ribble on land leased by the Clifton family of Lytham Hall. The White Church is a well known local landmark and was opened on October 17th, 1912.

Lowther Gardens is the oldest park in Lytham St Anne’s. The gardens cover an area of 5.65 hectares and were provided by Squire J Talbot Clifton in 1872 in honour of his wife, Eleanor Cecily Clifton (of the Lowther family in Cumbria) and in memory of her father, who died in 1868. Lowther Gardens is a great spot to rest and watch the world go by and there’s a popular café, theatre and small children’s play area, crazy golf, bowling and tennis courts.

Lytham Probus previously Lytham St Annes Men’s Forum has been running since 1968. It was set up to foster friendship, goodwill and understanding. Originally built in 1934 to enable fishermen to clean their catch of shellfish. Mussels were brought here from all over this coastline, some from as far away as Morecambe Bay.
