Take a stroll along Lytham Green with its spectacular views over the Ribble estuary, visit the historic windmill and museum, or visit the house and gardens of the historic Grade 1 listed Georgian Lytham Hall set on the edge of the town. There’s year round live entertainment at the Lowther Pavilion and a changing year round exhibition programme at the Lytham Heritage Centre. Take some time to browse around the many independent stores for something different, or have a refreshing drink or tasty bite in the wide choice of restaurants and cafes in the heart of Lytham.
A new gallery open Thursdays to Saturdays 11am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm) showing curated exhibitions of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection, held in Trust by Fylde Council, normally on show at the Town Hall in St Annes, plus other programmed exhibitions. The gallery is free to visit with donations welcome to invest back into the upkeep of the art collection.

Every summer a purpose built music arena is built on Lytham Green and tens of thousands of music lovers descend on Lytham for the annual music festival. Known locally as The White Church, the story of the White Church begins at a meeting of the congregation of Lytham Congregational Church in 1899 with the suggestion that there should be a new church in Fairhaven on the estuary of the Ribble on land leased by the Clifton family of Lytham Hall. The White Church is a well known local landmark and was opened on October 17th, 1912.

Lowther Gardens is the oldest park in Lytham St Anne’s. The gardens cover an area of 5.65 hectares and were provided by Squire J Talbot Clifton in 1872 in honour of his wife, Eleanor Cecily Clifton (of the Lowther family in Cumbria) and in memory of her father, who died in 1868. Lowther Gardens is a great spot to rest and watch the world go by and there’s a popular café, theatre and small children’s play area, crazy golf, bowling and tennis courts.
