Woofers comedy club is back! Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep here on the Fylde Coast. Hosted by our very own regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun!
Headlining this month we are delighted to welcome the hilarious Mr Rob Rouse.
As seen on Ben Elton’s hit BBC2 Shakespeare sitcom ‘Upstart Crow’ Rob is currently on a nationwide tour with his new stand-up show “Funny Bones.” Earlier this year, Rob was voted UK comic`s comic of the year by his fellow comedians, so things are certainly going well for this very funny man!
One of comedy’s most lively, loveable and dynamic performers, Rob won Channel 4’s Prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival in way back in 1998. He’s one of our best comic storytellers, has performed all over the world and works long-form narratives into hard-hitting, uncompromising hilarious tales filled with warmth and a sense of compassion for our collective human frailties. The Ex-Geography teacher has been described critically as “A born clown”, those who really know him may lovingly use the word ‘idiot’. Either way, Rob takes this trademark comedic storytelling to a career-high in this show, as he leads us on an irresistibly hilarious journey of enforced introspection and inspired rantings, it’s a real roller-coaster of a show in which he is forced to relinquish any attempts to control his life and to face down literally one of the most awkward situations you’re ever likely to hear about. You may also recognise him from 8 out of 10 cats, Spoons, The Friday Night Project, Celebrity Juice, Dave’s One night stand, John Bishop’s Only Joking, Live at the Comedy Store, maybe collecting one of his wife’s eBay purchases from your garage or perhaps seen him at one of his 8 Edinburgh fringe shows or 3 UK tours. So, see him do what he does best; honest, frank, seriously funny stand-up.
“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones” – The Sunday Times.
Joining Rob we welcome back one of the circuit`s finest funny guys, Duncan Oakley.
Comedian, Songwriter, Musician, Actor, One man band, with musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands Duncan Oakley performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up with one of his trusty guitars – Maurice (Fender Strat), No.7 (acoustic) or his Les Paul (the Lezza) by his side. Award-winning comic and songwriter Duncan has performed on the UK comedy circuit since 1999, appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, on BBC Radio 4 and at many summer festivals as well as starring in Beat24’s feature film Frontman and short film Read Between the Signs. Duncan was voted English Comedian of the Year in 2015 and Midlands Comedian of the Year 2016. Proudly childlike, Duncan can be playful and daft but is always infectiously funny. Expect big laughs from your inner oaf! Duncan performs regularly at some of the UKs biggest clubs and festivals.
“Leaping between stupidity and pure brilliance!” – Yorkshire Evening Post.
Jordan Mack.
Every so often on the circuit you come across an uncut gem, rough around the edges, but, with pots of potential. I truly believe Jordan is one of these gems. Salford based comedian, Jordan Mack, is an exasperated storytelling comic. Jordan takes to the stage, armed with frustration and scepticism. Jordan brings a combination of self-depreciation, hilarious observations and has an energy as high as his BMI.
“One of the best new comics I have seen in ages. ” Phil Walker.
*Book your tickets early to save dissapointment and money (cheaper in advance), these shows are usually very busy and often sell out. Also, line-ups are OCCASIONALLY subject to change.

The artwork of Ken Roberts is defined by precise, detailed oil paintings that capture the unique atmosphere, light, and scenery of the Fylde Coast. His portfolio primarily focuses on local landmarks and serene outdoor spaces in Lytham St Annes, such as the Memorial Gardens, the town’s market hall clock tower, and the Windmill. He utilises a traditional, disciplined technique focused on realism and fine detail to translate the effects of direct sunlight, seasonal shift, and quiet moments of reflection onto canvas. His careful manipulation of light, shadow, and composition is heavily inspired by classical masters and impressionists, including Velázquez, Monet, and Degas.
Working almost exclusively in oils, a medium he refined through formal training at St Annes College, he has become a prominent figure in the regional art community. He is a long standing member and former president of the Lytham St Annes Art Society. His landscape paintings have won local accolades, such as the Turner Cup for best oil painting, and his work has been selected for national exhibition at London’s Mall Galleries.

Select Omissions and New Acquisitions puts the spotlight on specific artworks from the Lytham St Annes Art Collection that have seldom been displayed, and recent acquisitions.
The exhibition is a curated presentation of eclectic artworks that have previously been omitted from exhibitions because they did not fit thematic constraints, shown alongside recent acquisitions that have not yet been displayed.
By ensuring these treasures are accessible to the community, the exhibition highlights the importance of keeping historical collections alive, dynamic, and evolving through conscientious curation.
Visitors will have the opportunity to appreciate these nineteenth and twentieth century artworks on their own merits, observe how a public collection grows over time, and explore how regional heritage finds its rightful place on the gallery walls.

One of the biggest names in comedy, Ed Byrne, returns with a brand-new show and absolutely No Dramas as he hits the road in 2027.
In his last show, Ed delved deep into his most personal material, looking at how humour is defined by Tragedy Plus Time. It was also his most successful, named Best Reviewed Show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 and going on to tour for almost two years to sell-out crowds, often returning to a venue to play a second or even third time.
Returning to what he does best – finding the funny in anything and everything, Ed just wants to live a life free of hassles or drama. He feels he’s earned it, but the world has other plans for him. Come, hear the conquistador of petty gripes air his grievances with a world hell bent on irritating the bejeezus out of us all and, who knows, perhaps it will make you feel better about your own bouts of impotent rage.

Event Details

The North West’s largest music festival will return to Lancashire for five nights in 2027.
As the sun set on the 15th anniversary of Lytham Festival, it is announced the huge music event will return next year from Wednesday June 30th to Sunday July 4. Five-day passes go on sale at 8am Friday via www.lythamfestival.com
PayPal customers can access the pre-sale from 8am tomorrow (MONDAY).
The announcement comes as this year’s festival, which attracted more than 110,000 people over five nights, drew to a close with global superstar Pitbull sensationally bringing the curtain down in front of 25,000 people.
Thousands of fans donned bald caps for the night – mimicking the Miami rapper’s trademark look – as their hero delivered on his pledge to “bring the party” to Lytham as part of his I’m Back world tour.
Pitbull told his adoring fans: “To all the baldies out there, thank you for the love and thank you for the commitment! Happy 15th Anniversary Lytham Festival!”
Ninety minutes of high-octane hits followed including Timber, Don’t Stop The Party, Hotel Room Service, Damn I Love Miami, Gasolina, International Love and the explosive anthem Fireball.
GRAMMY Award winning rapper and record producer Lil Jon was Pitbull’s very special guest with his set including such hits as Shots, Anaconda, Krazy and Outta Your Mind.
British rapper Tinchy Stryder also joined the Mr Worldwide party while DJ and producer PBH opened the show.
The festival has also seen headlining shows from vocal titan Teddy Swims, seven-time GRAMMY Award winning Alanis Morissette, international multi-award winning Michael Bublé and the most successful duo in UK music history Pet Shop Boys, with special guests and support artists including Lauren Spencer Smith, Skunk Anansie, Ronan Keating and Scissor Sisters.
Festival co-founder Peter Taylor said: “What a week! The plan was to make our 15th anniversary year very special and it is safe to say that is exactly what the past five days have been.
“We have welcomed some of the biggest names in music internationally and to have such a huge global star as Pitbull to close our party with a phenomenal performance was just perfect.
“So now it’s on to 2027. The dates are in the diary, the artists are being booked and we can’t wait to start making some exciting announcements very soon.”

It is announced today The Rockafeller Skank and Right Here Right Now star will bring his big beats and incredible live show to Lytham Festival on Friday July 2.
He will be supported on the night by special guest dance pop queen Becky Hill.
Lytham Festival co-founder Peter Taylor said: “Fatboy Slim is simply an icon. This is a night I have wanted to schedule for a long time so I can’t wait to welcome him to Lytham.
“His shows are the stuff of legend and I have every confidence this will be a huge night filled with some of the best beats the world of electronic music has to offer.
“I’m also really looking forward to welcoming Becky Hill back to Lytham. It will be nine years since she was last here and her career just goes from strength to strength so it will be a pleasure to see her return to our stage.
“With Robbie Williams headline show selling out in record time and now adding Fatboy Slim to the mix, it is safe to say we are looking at a very exciting Lytham Festival 2027.”
One of electronic music’s most iconic figures, since the late 90s Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, continues to create experiences for fans worldwide. This month marks the 30th anniversary of his debut album under the Fatboy Slim moniker, Better Living Through Chemistry. Featuring singles including Everybody Needs A 303, Punk to Funk and Going Out Of My Head, the seminal album saw Cook blend hip-hop, funk, house, reggae and indie.
Fast-forward three decades, and Cook remains as relevant today as he did when he first broke onto the scene. With his shoes off and his trademark Hawaiian shirt on, his reach spans the globe and with more than 100 performances at Glastonbury along with headline stages from Rio to Coachella and Ibiza to underground clubs, his trip to Lytham Festival will be a night of hedonistic energy.
Special guest will be Becky Hill, who first performed at Lytham Festival alongside Pete Tong in 2018. A two-time BRIT Award winning artist, Becky has exceeded 10 billion career streams to date, six UK Top 10 hits, a number 1 single, and her debut album Only Honest On The Weekend soared into the Top 10 on release and was certified Gold.
Alongside her success as a recording artist, Becky is also a formidable live performer, with exceptional sets at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, Parklife and Creamfields, alongside a sold-out UK and Ireland arena headline tour. Returning to Lytham with Fatboy Slim will mark another huge show for the singer who first came to prominence after reaching the semi-finals of TV’s The Voice UK back in 2012.
