Famous for Golf Tournaments!

Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club was founded in 1886. In 2018 the venue played host to the Ricoh Women’s British Open tournament, attracting players and spectators from all over the world, which was won by England’s Georgia Hall and in 2019, the British Senior’s Open sponsored by Rolex at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in July was won by Bernhard Langer.

The area is no stranger to hosting top world class golf tournaments and Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club has hosted eleven men’s open tournaments and four women’s tournaments. Most recently the Men’s Open Golf in 2012 was won by Ernie Els and the Women’s Open was won by Scotland’s Catriona Matthew in 2009. In recent years David Duval won the Open at the club in 2001 and who can forget Seve Ballesteros winning his first Open here on the Fylde coast in 1979 and his third Open win back at here in 1988?

The Fylde Council Golf Tournament is an amateur doubles tournament and your opportunity to play four of Fylde’s best courses over a five day period and the event attracts competitors from all over the UK and Europe. In 2022, the event will take place 1st to 5th August. To find out more,  email

Lytham St Annes Mini Links Complex consists of a challenging 18 hole par 3 Mini Links golf course, a fabulous 18 hole Putting Green and an entertaining 9 hole Crazy Golf.

It is situated on South Promenade opposite The Grand Hotel only 800 metres west of the world famous Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Course. The rolling fairways of the Mini Links course overlook the Irish Sea with views across the Ribble Estuary.

Lytham’s only public driving range now offers the new TopTracer experience which is fun and engaging and offers you the chance to practice with purpose, play a round of golf, and enter nearest the pin challenges and win prizes.
