The Fylde Ice Festival is back again! After its successful visit to St Annes in 2025, this popular daylong event will return to Fylde once again and this time take place in the centre of Lytham in 2026. Come and have a go on the ice carving wall in Clifton Square, see a number of pre carved ice sculptures around town on the ice trail with themes linked to Lytham, plus watch a live carving demonstration take place in front of your very eyes with Ice experts GLACIAL ART ICE SCULPTORS

Featuring films of local stories about the Fleetwood to Knott End ‘END TO END’ Ferry and Abingdon Street Market’s ‘INERTIAL’ Sounds Record Shop.  Themed days offer a line up of Shorts and Features, Documentaries LGBTQ+ and Horror/Thriller films including BAFTA winner ‘ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS’ and Oscars 2026 short film nominee ‘JANE AUSTEN’S PERIOD DRAMA’, with 50+ independent films from as far afield as the USA, Germany, Turkey, Italy and more.

Family Friendly Films will run on Saturday and Sunday for live action and animated fans.

Starring local film making talent in the ‘Foot in the Door’ Masterclass Live sessions at 3pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Three local, talented, industry professionals from the documentary, music and stunt performance arenas will share their career paths and how they work on their award-winning projects.

On Sunday 7th of June come down and join in on the fun of the The Taps’ annual Charity bike ride. There are 2 routes for the event, both being fully sign posted as to where to go, so you wont get lost. One is 15 miles and the second is 30 miles, with both having a back up van following for bike issues and minor first aid.

Once you have completed the bike ride, its back to the taps with each rider getting a complementary drink and food. There will also be prize giving, a raffle and an auction.

Joined by his band Freak Freely, The Lose Control and The Door hitmaker will headline the opening night of the North West’s largest music festival on Wednesday July 1, as one of only five huge outdoor shows for the global superstar in mainland UK next summer. He will be supported by breakout vocalist and songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei.

Seven-time GRAMMY Award winning artist Alanis Morissette is revealed as the fifth and final headliner for Lancashire’s Lytham Festival 2026.

After this summer saw her headline show on the Fylde coast cancelled due to adverse weather conditions, it is announced today the Canadian/American musician will return to TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival on Thursday July 2 for one of only five UK performances next summer. She will be joined on the night by musical powerhouse Skunk Anansie.

For 30 years Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential women in contemporary music with her deeply expressive music and performances earning vast critical praise. Her 1995 debut album Jagged Little Pill was followed by nine more eclectic and acclaimed albums and her music and most notable hits Ironic, You Oughta Know, Hand in My Pocket and Thank U remain as current today.

In 2019, Jagged Little Pill the musical made its Broadway debut and was nominated for 15 Tony Awards, winning two at the 2021 ceremony.

In 2021, Alanis’ sold-out world tour celebrating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill was the number one female-fronted tour of the year. Last year her 35-date North American Triple Moon Tour sold more than half a million tickets and packed every venue to capacity, and this summer saw her bring her 2025 World Tour to the UK for a limited run of sold-out dates between shows in South America and Europe.

Formed in London in 1994, Skunk Anansie are known for their powerful fusion of hard rock, punk, and funk influences. Fronted by the charismatic and dynamic Skin, whose distinctive voice and commanding stage presence have become the band’s signature, Skunk Anansie broke through with explosive hits like Weak, Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good) and Charity.

The most successful duo in UK music history Pet Shop Boys are heading to TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival 2026.

Pet Shop Boys are one of the most requested acts for the North West’s largest music festival and it is announced today Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe will bring their groundbreaking, euphoric pop spectacle Pet Shop Boys – DREAMWORLD – The Greatest Hits Live show to Lytham on Saturday July 4.

And in a move sure to please fans, the headlining show will mark the biggest ever homecoming date for Chris Lowe who was born and raised on the Fylde coast in Blackpool.

As Pet Shop Boys, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are listed in The Guinness Book of Records as the most successful duo in UK music history. Since signing to Parlophone Records in 1985, they have achieved 44 top 30 singles in the UK, including 22 top 10 hits and four number ones.

In their live shows Pet Shop Boys have created an original style of pop musical theatre, collaborating with a multitude of directors, designers and artists, including Derek Jarman, Zaha Hadid, Es Devlin and Tom Scutt.

Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live kicked off in Milan in May 2022 touring arenas and festivals across Europe and the UK to great acclaim. OUTDOOR THEATRE THE THREE MUSKETEERS by ALEXANDRE DUMAS

​Fylde coast favourites Illyria who have presented 50 of our 71 plays since 2010 will be back with a new adaptation of Dumas’ classic 1844 novel . Stand by for D’Artagnan, Athos Porthos, Aramis, plus adventure, romance, considerable swashbuckling, scheming and visual and verbal comedy in true Illyria style.

Illyria return, with a different cast,  with one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most popular comic operas, The Pirates of Penzance. Top quality singing is always placed at the heart of Oliver Gray’s innovative productions. This is G &S for the 21st century.

Lytham Community Choir will entertain royally prior to the show.

Join us for the fifteenth annual Lytham 1940s Weekend taking place on Lytham Green and in the town. There will be music, dance, military vehicles, static aircraft and so much more.

Once again, sponsors CoSign will be offering BSL in the main marquee.

The event is free to attend, parking fee applies for Lytham Green with all monies going directly back into the event and the evening events are ticketed. Plus, many venues around Lytham also offer 1940s entertainment during the weekend.

Join the Kalamazoo Dance Band for a great evening of music in the forties marquee on Lytham Green on the Saturday night at the 2026 Lytham 1940s Weekend. This will be the Kalamazoo Dance Band’s sixth visit to the popular Lytham 1940s Weekend and as one of the UK’s most popular swing bands on the circuit offering the very best of the forties era, you’re in for a great night. It is always a sell out, so be quick!!

Please note we won’t be issuing physical tickets but we will email you prior to the event to confirm and we will welcome you on the door on the night. You will get a ticket confirmation as part of the booking process. Please also note that as this event takes place in a marquee on Lytham Green, we will have portable toilets adjacent, plus a licensed bar, but do wrap up warm!

A partnership between Fylde Council and kite fliers SmileFactor10 with support from St Anne’s Town Council. The fabulous international kite festival returns to St Anne’s on Sea and will feature single line kites of all shapes and sizes, including inflatable octopus, flying cows, stingrays, whales, dogs and even hippos. Plus 2-line and 4-line stunt kites. It is a superb spectacle and the sky fills with plenty of colour and you can marvel at the expertise of kite flyers from the UK and all over the world.

Based either side of St Annes Pier, there will be specially a designated arena – the David Lidstone Arena to the left of the pier, with commentary from the kite fliers about their displays and encouraging you to watch the fabulous spectacle. Plus, for 2026 an artisan market featuring local producers in the Promenade Gardens.

The event is entirely weather dependent and the planned programme may change at short notice due to operational constraints or weather conditions. Please note a dog exclusion zone exists either side of St Annes pier and is clearly marked, but you can watch the display with your four legged friend from the Promenade or on the beach in the kite flying zones beyond the dog restriction area.

Planned kite flying timings (subject to change due to weather or reasons beyond control of the kite fliers):

• Friday 4th – 12 noon to 10pm
• Saturday 5th – 11am to 5pm (the fairground will operate into the evening)
• Sunday 6th – 11am to 4pm

We urge you to research and use existing car parks in St Annes away from the front as it will be very busy. There will be additional event parking clearly signposted. There are plenty of bus services, plus train link into St Annes on the Sea train station which is approximately 800 yards away from the front.

Presented by the Lancashire Vehicle Club, approximately 80 to 100 vehicles will be displayed on the Promenade close to the Island complex. Vehicles arriving 9am to 11am, after which no vehicle movements. Event ends 4pm.
